Frequently asked questions
Why can the lower-value side still win?
An item with stronger demand can be easier to trade and may carry more practical market value than a larger collection of low-demand items.
Why are large bundles reduced?
Later items in a bundle usually contribute less to a real trade, especially when they are low value or difficult to move. The calculator reduces crowded bundles so several weak items do not automatically equal one premium item.
Does the calculator guarantee a trade?
No. It provides a structured estimate based on the published list and current calculation rules. Individual traders may value items differently.
Where is my inventory saved?
Guest inventory is stored on the current device. Signed-in accounts can sync supported inventory data through the website account system.
How do I report an incorrect value?
Open Feedback, choose “Value correction,” name the item, provide the suggested value and demand, and include the source or trade evidence when possible.

The calculator considers how easily items tend to move, not only their listed totals.
Large bundles, filler, and consolidation are treated differently from clean one-for-one offers.
Methodology
How trade comparisons work
The calculator shows listed value and average demand separately, then provides context without declaring a guaranteed result.
Listed value establishes the baseline.
Each item begins with its published value. When an item has a range, the midpoint is used consistently.
Demand changes how practical an offer is.
Higher-demand items are generally easier to move, while low-demand items may require cleaner adds or an overpay.
Main items matter more than filler.
The calculator recognizes the difference between a clean premium item and a large pile of weaker additions.
Bundle size and consolidation matter.
Upgrades, downgrades, crowded bundles, and repeated low-demand pieces can change whether the trade is practical.
You make the final decision.
The calculator displays both sides clearly and explains the differences. It never guarantees that a trade is a win or loss.
Understanding the market
Value and demand are different
Value is the published numerical reference for an item. It helps compare the general size of offers.
Demand reflects how consistently an item is wanted and how easily it may be traded again. Two items with the same listed value can perform differently when their demand is not equal.
An item’s value can remain stable while its demand changes. For that reason, the calculator displays both rather than treating them as the same measurement.
Trade structure
Upgrades, downgrades, and filler
An upgrade usually means exchanging several items for fewer, stronger, or more desirable items. Because the receiving item is cleaner and easier to manage, an overpay may be reasonable.
A downgrade means receiving more items in exchange for one stronger item. The listed total may be higher, but the extra pieces can be harder to trade individually.
Filler refers to weak or low-demand additions that increase the visible total without making the offer equally desirable or easy to trade.
Standards and limitations
How the information should be used
Availability, demand, new updates, and completed trades can alter an item’s position on the DSTN Value List over time.
Value changes should be supported by current market behavior rather than isolated offers or personal preference.
The calculator is a decision-support tool. It cannot account for every collector preference or guarantee that another player will accept an offer.
